Add a piece of London history to your living room with these seats made from old scooter tyres salvaged from East London mechanics’ yards. After a thorough scrub, they’re filled with foam cushioning and covered in brightly coloured vinyl.
MaterialsThese cute recycled tyre seats are hand made by a UK designer maker from old scooter tyres which are collected from a local motorbike workshop. Cleaned in the designers studio the tyres are measured up for a foam cushion in fill. Vinyl off cuts are collected from a local furnishings company and made into seat covers.
Please note that the foam used in the seating contains chemical flame retardants.
PeopleThe tyre seats are made b a UK based designer in her East London studio. All the materials are sourced from East London business waste with exception to the high density foam which is purchased from a small East London supplier.
Transportation
The product is made and uses materials sourced locally to the designer workshop in East London. All seats are distributed by road to customers.
