MaterialsThese lamps are made from 100% wool felt.
Felt is made from matted wool fibres which are pounded and shrunk together using heat and water. As sheep are shorn up to twice year, wool is 100% renewable as well as recyclable and compostable. Felt has natural fire retardant qualities so no chemical retardants are needed. Natural dyes have been used to colour the felt and the dying process meets the textile industry's strict "oeko-tex 100" environmental standard, which ensures no harmful substances have been used in the production of the felt. The screen printing inks are water based and non-toxic.
PeopleDesigned and made in the UK, these cushions support the local British design industry.
TransportationThe felt is from France and is transported to the UK where it is made into lamps. Transportation is via sea and road freight.
PackagingThe lights are packed in single walled cardboard boxes for protection during transportation. Please reuse and recycled all packaging materials.
