These gorgeous retro armchairs are made in Wales from leather off-cuts. Because the leather is irregularly shaped and enhanced with natural marks and blemishes, each chair has an individual character all of its own.
Designed by Ange Gidden.

MaterialsThese chairs and sofas are made from 30% FSC beech, 10% Feather, 10% CMHR foam and 50% upholstery in leather hide offcuts.
By designing, producing and utilising leather off-cuts too small for furniture including all the traditionally ‘unusable’ raw edges and natural blemishes found in hide this saves up to 40% waste as almost every square inch of the hide is used. Leather does not require the use of additional flame retardents.
The FSC certification on the beech frame ensures that the timber is from sustainably managed sources which also helps to encourage wildlife and biodiversity.
PeopleThese products are made in Wales. Most materials are sourced locally as well as using local businesses to support enterprise needs thereby contributing to the sustainability and growth of local employment and the economy.
Resources All production processes utilise simple, traditional manufacturing techniques, which are low tech and light on energy.

PackagingWhere possible products are blanket wrapped when they form part of a group delivery with a dedicated van. If they are sent out individually they are wrapped in a plastic bag to protect them from moisture damage.
Care instructionsThe product is designed to a high contract specification beyond general domestic use and therefore should enjoy a high life expectancy based on fair ware and tear. The product is designed to look better with age just like an old pair of jeans to hopefully encourage the user to ‘cherish not chuck’ and pass it on to a new user if they no longer want it.
We recommend the product is lightly vacuumed on a regular basis.
